Emergency Department RN Full Time 11a-11p
About The Position
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Baptist Health Floyd. This is a Full-Time position (36 hours/week) with a mid-shift schedule (11am-11pm), requiring every 4th weekend rotation and holidays as needed. The RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care, functioning as an on-shift team member to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. The Emergency Department is a fast-paced environment treating an average of 160+ patients per day, including a wide variety of conditions such as cardiovascular and neurovascular emergencies, general medical emergencies, traumatic injuries, and psychiatric patients. The unit has 41 beds, 37 private rooms, and a split-flow area for lower acuity patients. The ED is recognized by the American Heart Association as a STEMI receiving center and a designated Primary Stroke Center. New Graduate RNs are welcome.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license, or graduate of approved nursing program
- BLS for healthcare provider required.
- ACLS certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
- PALS certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
- NIHSS certification required (obtained within 10 weeks of hire).
