Emergency Department RN Full Time Mid-Shift 1P-1A
About The Position
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Baptist Health Floyd. This is a Full-Time position (36 hours/week) with a Mid-shift schedule (1pm-1am), rotating every 4th weekend. The RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for patients, functioning as an on-shift team member to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. The Emergency Department (ED) is a fast-paced environment with 41 beds, including 37 private rooms and a split-flow area for lower acuity patients. The ED treats an average of 160+ patients per day, encountering a wide variety of conditions including cardiovascular and neurovascular emergencies, general medical emergencies, traumatic injuries, and psychiatric patients. The ED is recognized by the American Heart Association as a STEMI receiving center and a designated Primary Stroke Center.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license, or graduate of approved nursing program
- BLS for healthcare provider required.
- ACLS certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
- PALS certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
- NIHSS certification required (obtained within 10 weeks of hire).
