Emergency Department Registered Nurse - 36 hours/full-time (Rotating)
About The Position
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse provides care to patients who have experienced accidents or medical emergencies requiring immediate attention. The new, spacious, state-of-the-art Emergency Department at Lahey Burlington, a Level 1 Trauma Center, features 44 beds in over 45,000 square feet, with new entrances, a sun-filled reception area, an imaging suite, pharmacy, fast-track area, behavioral health suite, private treatment rooms, a family waiting area, and a family consultation room. Patient assessment and care documentation are managed through complete computerized charting using EPIC, which also electronically records medication administration.
Requirements
- State of Massachusetts RN licensure
- At least one year of nursing experience in the ED is preferred
- BLS Required (AHA or American Red Cross)
- Vaccinated against influenza (flu) as a condition of employment

- ACLS preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients that have been in accidents or have medical emergencies that need immediate attention.
- Utilize complete computerized charting (EPIC) for patient assessment and care documentation.
- Electronically record medication administration for the delivery of all medications provided to patients.
