This role is for a casual Emergency Department Patient Services Representative to support UPMC Northwest. A casual employee has no set shift or number of hours but is scheduled to work as needed, providing a minimum of 16 hours of availability monthly and at least one weekend shift every 4 weeks. Availability must be in minimum 4-hour blocks. The representative welcomes patients, promotes new technologies, educates patients on financial obligations, collects payments, connects patients to financial advocacy resources, and updates patient demographics and insurance information, all while promoting service excellence. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills and aims to ensure patients and family members have the desired UPMC Experience.
