Emergency Department Nurse Part Time Mid Shift 11A-11P
About The Position
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Baptist Health Floyd. This is a Part-Time position (24 hours/week) with a Mid-shift schedule (11am-11pm), requiring rotation every 4th weekend and holidays as needed. The RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care, functioning as an on-shift team member to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. The Emergency Department is a fast-paced environment with 41 beds (37 private rooms) and a split-flow area for lower acuity patients. It treats an average of 160+ patients per day, encountering a wide variety of cases including cardiovascular and neurovascular emergencies, general medical emergencies, traumatic injuries, and psychiatric patients. The ED is recognized by the American Heart Association as a STEMI receiving center and a designated Primary Stroke Center.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license, or graduate of approved nursing program
- BLS for healthcare provider required.
- ACLS certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
- PALS certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
- NIHSS certification required (obtained within 10 weeks of hire).
Responsibilities
