Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state where the practice is located.
1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with practice management software and electronic medical records.
Excellent communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
Fine motor skills for handling patients and medical equipment.
Ability to stand for prolonged hours, kneel, and work on the floor.
Ability to lift up to 25 kg independently and support up to 40 kg with assistance.
Willingness to work in a noisy environment with strong or unpleasant odors.
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating or as-needed basis.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with diverse individuals.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program.
VTS in ECC, internal medicine, or anesthesia/analgesia.
Experience in emergency or specialty medicine.

Responsibilities

Treat every patient and person with importance, keeping people and pets together through tests and treatments.
Deliver nursing care, treatments, and emotional support during critical moments, from triage to discharge.
Administer medications, monitoring, and advanced treatments such as IVs, CRIs, and blood transfusions.
Communicate effectively as a team member and assist in shaping care plans.
Perform CPR and other advanced techniques.
Conduct diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement.
Administer anesthesia, even for fragile patients.
Utilize advanced techniques including central lines, endoscopy, and ultrasounds.
