BluePearl Pet Hospital offers an Emergency Veterinarian mentorship training program called EmERge, designed to equip participants with the skills and confidence needed to become successful Emergency Veterinarians in their state-of-the-art hospitals through one-on-one guided mentorship. The program provides valuable experience by combining case-based lectures, interactive seminars, hands-on practice labs, and mentoring from highly skilled emergency clinicians. Participants receive a real-world salary from the first day. EmERge is a one-year training program, followed by a one-year post-EmERge commitment. The program is divided into three phases: Phase 1 (Weeks 1-14) includes a bootcamp (virtual and in-person), specialty rotations, and ER shifts. Phase 2 (Weeks 15-32) involves increased responsibility, focused ER shifts, ongoing mentorship, exposure to diverse cases, and weekly didactic webinars. Phase 3 (Weeks 33-52) emphasizes independent case management, continued collaboration, advanced skill application, and ongoing didactic webinars, with continued mentor support.
