About The Position

Gulfport Behavioral Health System is seeking an EMDR Therapist (Contract) to provide high-quality therapeutic services in a supportive environment. The ideal candidate is certified or trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and experienced in working with individuals who present with trauma histories, anxiety, PTSD, and other related concerns. This role offers autonomy and flexibility.

Requirements

Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field.
EMDR Certification required.
Minimum of 1–2 years of post‑licensure clinical experience working with trauma populations.
Active, unrestricted clinical license (e.g., LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, Psychologist).
Strong clinical judgment, interpersonal skills, and trauma‑informed care principles.
Proficiency in EMDR protocols, phases, and clinical application.
Experience with complex trauma, dissociation, or co‑occurring disorders.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and demonstrate cultural competence.

Responsibilities

Provide individual EMDR therapy to clients in accordance with EMDRIA standards.
Monitor clinical progress.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, progress notes, and records in compliance with organizational and legal standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support holistic client care.
Ensure ethical practice aligned with state regulations, licensure requirements, and professional codes of conduct.
Participate in periodic case consultations and clinical meetings (as required).
Utilize evidence-based modalities in conjunction with EMDR when clinically appropriate.
Protect confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and organizational privacy guidelines.
