About The Position

CNY Fertility is a renowned fertility center offering advanced treatments like IVF, IUI, and egg freezing. With a patient-centered approach and cutting-edge technology, we support individuals and couples on their journey to parenthood. As an Embryology Supervisor you will be proficient in all areas of the laboratory as well as lead a team of embryologists. This position requires a weekend and holiday rotation.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in a chemical, biological, clinical, medical or reproductive laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Embryology lab and 1 year of supervisory experience required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to lift 25lbs.
Excellent computer literacy.
Adequate vision or corrective lenes for sample identification.
Ability to multitask in fast paced environments.

Responsibilities

Daily quality control, media preparation and dish preparation
Microscope and pipettor use
Use of other lab equipment to complete procedures: balance, pH meter, CO2 monitor, labeler, etc.
Oocyte retrieval and denuding of oocytes
Embryo and oocyte thawing/embryo and oocyte freezing
Fertilization checks and embryo transfers
ICSI and conventional fertilization techniques
Understand and be able to use eIVF for data entry
Schedule procedures, complete tasks, and navigate patient charts
Understand cryopreservation and storage of specimens
Beginning patient communication and patient identification
Assist in cleaning and stocking the laboratory
Perform PGT and loading of samples and able to interpret a PGT report and call patient results
Perform PESA/TESE sperm retrievals and search
Supervise the entire embryology staff, including overseeing PTO and scheduling staff
Participate in the alarm response team, be able and willing to troubleshoot and respond to alarms
This position may also be responsible for performing other duties as assigned, consistent with the role and operations needs of the organization
