Under supervision of the Lab Supervisor or Director, and direction of Embryologists, the Embryology Lab Assistant is responsible for providing daily administrative support and assistance with high quality IVF laboratory medical procedures. The Embryology Lab Assistant consults with other staff groups/members regarding the administration, maintenance and daily running of the laboratory. The Embryology Lab Assistant works in a collaborative relationship with the Laboratory Director and/or Supervisor and other team members, as well as with other clinical department employees and physicians. The Embryology Lab Assistant is an entry-level position and will require the employee to become fully trained and proficient in all basic IVF laboratory administrative processes and assistant procedures. The Embryology Lab Assistant position is an administrative role with an additional supportive role for laboratory preparations and procedures (lab QC, dish prep, witnessing) that does not require actual gamete/embryo manipulation.
