Come join a growing practice at the Sanford Advanced Reproductive Laboratory at the Sanford Fertility & Reproductive Medicine Clinic as a full time Embryologist. The Advanced Reproductive Laboratory had their first pregnancy in 1995 and has been in continuous operation since. The embryology team is well established, with 50 years of experience. Embryology is inherently requires long hours and on call weekends, however work life balance for the team is top priority. The Laboratory is continually upgrading and bringing in new and modern techniques to give our patients, and staff, the best experience and outcomes.

Requirements

  • BA or BS in biology or chemistry required.
  • Successful completion of a four year medical technologist degree, bachelor's degree in biology, animal science, medical technology, or related field.
  • Ability to read and understand information about instrumentation in laboratory field.
  • Ability to understand quality assurance and quality control.
  • Ability to follow written protocols.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Attention to detail and organization skills

Nice To Haves

  • Two years’ experience in In-Vitro-Fertilization (IVF), including micromanipulation preferred.
  • American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB) and/or Association of Clinical Embryologists (ACE) certifications in embryology desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Performs technical laboratory procedures in the reproductive clinical laboratory.
  • The embryologist assists with all laboratory duties related to IVF as needed and other duties as assigned by leadership within the laboratory.
  • Maintaining department quality assurance.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
  • Works with adult patients seeking In Vitro Fertilization and participates in patient education related to specimen collection/handling.
