About Abbode Founded in 2021, Abbode is a New York City–based embroidery and lifestyle brand offering thoughtfully designed accessories, gifts, and everyday products. Headquartered in NYC, with a flagship boutique in the city, we bring our collections to customers through ecommerce, wholesale, retail, and activations. We’re growing across channels and expanding into new product categories, and we’re investing in the people and systems that will support our next stage of growth. The Role Abbode is looking for a detail-oriented, calm-under-pressure individual to join our team embroidering both in-store and at events, activations, and pop-ups across New York City. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves hands-on work, has a creative eye, and enjoys being part of high-energy environments. Embroidery experience preferred but not required. We are specifically seeking candidates with reliable weekend availability for this position.
Requirements
- Comfortable working live events and interacting with customers
- Strong time management skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings
- Creative mindset and attention to detail — we love working with people who have an eye for design and personalization
Nice To Haves
- Embroidery experience preferred but not required.
- Bonus: interest in embroidery, fashion, or hands-on making
- Candidates with availability through the holidays will be prioritized.
Responsibilities
- Independently operate embroidery machines in the Abbode store and at on-site events.
- Set up and manage your embroidery station, including threading, hooping, and troubleshooting
- Work quickly and accurately in high-volume environments
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team and fellow embroiderers to ensure customer orders are completed correctly and efficiently
- Transport and care for embroidery equipment and materials during events
- Ensure correct completion of orders under time pressure and quality control your work
- Support the fulfillment team at the Abbode store or office with embroidery, prepping, and organizing as needed
