About The Position

Radiance Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Embedded Systems Engineer to lead the architecture, development, and integration of our next-generation electronic devices. In this role, you will bridge the gap between physical hardware and computer code, taking ownership of the entire firmware lifecycle from initial proof-of-concept to production-ready software. As a senior member of the team, you will also mentor junior engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional hardware and product teams.

Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
10+ years of hands-on experience in embedded software/firmware development.
Deep proficiency in legacy and modern development languages
Extensive experience working with microcontrollers/microprocessors
In-depth understanding of standard communication protocols and buses.
Expert familiarity with hardware debugging tools
10 years of documented and verifiable military systems, technical, and maintenance experience.
Must have a current TS/SCI security clearance or be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance to start work.

Military technical instructor experience preferred

Responsibilities

Define high-level software architecture, state machines, and sequence diagrams for robust, low-power embedded systems.
Write, test, and optimize clean, maintainable, and high-performance code in C/C++ for bare-metal systems, Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), or embedded Linux.
Partner closely with hardware engineers to bring up new boards and interface code with sensors, power management circuits, and analog electronics.
Debug complex system-level bugs using diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and digital multimeters.
Conduct rigorous code reviews, establish engineering best practices, and guide junior and mid-level engineers.
