About The Position

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is seeking an Engineering & Technology (E&T) Manager responsible for the management and development of their team, support of department initiatives and directorate undertakings, and driving technical excellence, affordability, and program execution. As an E&T Manager at MFC, you will join one of the largest networks of software professionals, implementing cutting edge technologies on both existing and new development platforms. You will be helping us solve the world’s most difficult challenges supporting such wide-ranging domain areas such as aircraft flight command and control, air traffic control, health care, and homeland defense. We are a matrix engineering and technology organization so you will touch multiple programs over your career. It is possible that travel will be required to both customer and supplier sites, both within and outside the Continental United States (CONUS).

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science. Other related degree field with significant software development experience
Experience with embedded development using a real-time operating system
Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical embedded software systems/programs
Process Improvement and Affordability experience
Software engineering Management or Software engineering Team Lead experience including task planning, budget management, subcontract management and/or employee development and mentoring
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Responsibilities

Management and development of the team
Providing technical coaching and mentoring, work assignments, employee career development, continuous ongoing feedback, and being their employees advocate in opportunity discussions.
Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities
Coordinating employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessments, salary planning, recognition/disciplinary actions, and engineering competency development.
Supporting program development, execution of program requirements, adherence to engineering development processes, promoting customer focus, and serving as the technical conscience for their program
