About The Position

This is an internship position for an Embedded Software Engineering Intern. The internship duration is 4 to 8 months, and it can be undertaken during the Summer or Fall semester. The job is located in Ottawa, QC, and follows a Day Shift schedule. The role involves designing and implementing software algorithms, developing automation scripts, code, and processes for workflow efficiency, interacting with systems engineering on technical issues, debugging software problems, conducting independent research to provide new solutions, and preparing presentations and demonstrations.

Requirements

  • Completed 2nd year of Computer Science/Computer or Software Engineering, or Systems, Electrical Engineering with software knowledge
  • Experience with C/C++ and object-oriented design and programming
  • Commitment to work well done, ensuring follow-ups and seeing that deadlines are respected
  • Ease of working with people (customer teams, several internal services and external suppliers)
  • Strong English written and spoken skills
  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
