About The Position

This is a twelve-week paid internship at the Franksville, WI site, offering enriching experiences and the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers. Participants will gain a firm grasp of core engineering competencies and a holistic view of technology-driven solutions. The internship is an integral part of multi-disciplined new product engineering teams at Eaton’s Thomas A. Edison Technical Center. Interns will perform engineering analyses, create designs, and develop unit tests, contributing to New Product Development (NPD) projects and functional initiatives. Eaton's local footprint in Wisconsin, with five facilities and over 1900 employees, provides state-of-the-art laboratories and manufacturing access.

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in or received a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science at an accredited institution with a graduation date no earlier than December 2027.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8 or above.

Nice To Haves

• Prior internship or co-op experience.
• Junior or higher standing.
• Minimum GPA of 3.2 or above.
• Experience developing using C / C++, Python or other programming languages.
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum concepts (or other iterative development methodology).

Responsibilities

• Work with hardware drivers and embedded applications, networking and related areas primarily using C, C++, and Python, as well as other programming languages.
• Collaborate with a global multi-discipline engineering teams (software, embedded software, hardware, power systems, systems, product and test) to deliver products and features for the Utility Intelligent Devices team.
• Set aggressive goals, measures performance, and strive to go beyond what is expected.
• Effectively work and communicate within a global team environment.
