About The Position

We are seeking Embedded Software Engineers to develop, test, and integrate software that drives and simulates advanced flight systems. The role spans multiple layers of the technology stack, including applications, operating systems, networking, firmware, and simulation. Engineers will work closely with hardware and software teams to build and debug mission-critical systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related STEM field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with systems programming in C++, Python, Rust, or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with Linux-based development.
  • Understanding of low-level systems programming and hardware interfaces.
  • Experience with interfaces such as UART and I2C is valuable.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong C++ or Rust experience.
  • Real-time embedded or distributed computing experience.
  • Experience with Linux systems.
  • Experience working with PowerPC, x86, ARM, or similar architectures.
  • Bash, networking, and performance-analysis tools.
  • Experience with debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing.
  • Knowledge of TCP/UDP networking.
  • Experience building prototypes from first principles.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement reliable autonomous software systems.
  • Develop simulations used to validate software precision and system dependability.
  • Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, from design and prototyping through testing, integration, and deployment.
  • Evaluate test results and troubleshoot complex hardware/software issues.
  • Perform hands-on integration and debugging across software and hardware systems.
  • Develop tools supporting virtualized hardware, hardware-in-the-loop, and vehicle-in-the-loop testing.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on advanced flight-system capabilities.
  • Contribute to guidance algorithms and integrated seeker image-processing efforts.
  • Lead major software projects when appropriate.
  • Support testing and operations at launch or customer sites when required.
  • Improve software standards, development practices, and engineering processes.
