About The Position

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will apply your skills and experience to accelerate product development. You will work in a small, dedicated team passionate about solving challenging problems and delivering results. You will help design and develop software components that advance our sensors’ ability to detect and track new types of targets, monitor performance and health metrics, and interact with cloud-based systems. You will also work within and harden existing software development best practices, including documenting and communicating designs, testing and validating designs, and improving CM/CI capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software Engineering, or a bachelor’s degree in computer or electrical Engineering with strong programming background
  • 3+ years industry experience
  • Familiarity with Radar Systems and Signal Processing
  • Programming experience with Python
  • Programming experience with C++
  • Comfortable working on embedded Linux Operating Systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and overcome technical challenges.
  • Experience with or the drive to learn Analysis methods and tools including Python and MATLAB
  • Experience with or the drive to learn Communications, Radar, and other Sensor Systems
  • Only United States citizens and non-United States citizens holding a Green Card can be considered for this position due to national security designation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Software, Systems, Digital and RF engineers to advance overall product capabilities.
  • Decompose system requirements and support key software architectural decisions.
  • Participate in collaborative design and code reviews.
  • Aid in the validation and verification of both design and system-level capabilities.
  • Help design and develop software components that advance our sensors’ ability to detect and track new types of targets.
  • Help design and develop software components that monitor performance and health metrics, and autonomously recover from faults.
  • Help design and develop software components that interact with cloud-based systems and other network components.
  • Document and clearly communicate designs to peers.
  • Test and validate designs to ensure proper and bug free operation.
  • Improve CM/CI capabilities and coverage.
