About The Position

Net2Source Inc. is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer to develop positioning and localization software for autonomous and semiautonomous systems. The engineer will collaborate with team members to prototype and productionize algorithms that help systems localize robustly, estimate position and altitude absolutely and relative to terrain features and static or mobile equipment, and implement filters using perception-based, inertial, and GNSS inputs. The role covers the software development process, including algorithm research and design, requirements generation, architecture considerations, documentation, coding, product quality, and validation. It also supports functional safety software design and validation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in an accredited robotics, electrical or computer engineering, or computer science program.
  • At least 2 years of experience.
  • Excellence in developing C++ software.
  • Ability to research and convert technical ideas into production implementations.
  • Strong foundation in mathematics, including 3D geometry, linear algebra, and statistical error modeling such as Gauss-Markov processes.
  • Ability to work with different coordinate-system references and perform transformations between them.

Nice To Haves

  • Five or more years of robotics or autonomous-solution experience demonstrating deep technical domain expertise.
  • Experience implementing filtering solutions, including Error State, Kalman, and Extended Kalman filters.
  • In-depth knowledge of inertial measurement technology and inertial-based navigation and/or guidance systems.
  • Ability to survey literature for ideas and translate research papers into production implementations.
  • Experience with localization, including SLAM-type approaches, graph optimization libraries, and state estimation.
  • Knowledge of robotics and frameworks such as Robot Operating System (ROS).
  • Understanding of physics-based modeling, vehicle modeling, and dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Research and design localization algorithms and software.
  • Prototype and bring localization algorithms into production in collaboration with team members.
  • Develop production-quality C++ software, including design, documentation, coding, product quality, and validation.
  • Contribute to requirements generation and localization architecture design considerations.
  • Support functional safety software design and validation.
  • Analyze and resolve software or application problems.
  • Analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and help obtain decisions on resolutions.

Benefits

  • Professional growth
  • Work-life balance
  • Collaborative culture
