About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer for a part-time, on-site position in Torrance, CA. In this role, you will design, develop, and test advanced non-destructive testing systems, contributing to innovative hardware and software solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients. Requirements

Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field
At least 1 year of experience in developing software for hardware control and data acquisition
Experience in programming hardware via Ethernet, serial, and USB interfaces
Proficiency in Python
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and collaborate in a team to achieve project goals.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with X-ray technology or related equipment
Experience with image processing and data analysis
Proficiency in C++ or C
Ability to understand and troubleshoot analog and digital electronics schematics
Background in aerospace, defense, or related high-tech industries
Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and presentations.

Responsibilities

Select, test, and integrate system components for achieving optimal performance
Develop user interfaces and software for hardware control and data acquisition
Develop algorithms and software for data analysis and image processing
Collaborate with other team members to meet project milestones and deliver high-quality solutions
Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
