About The Position
Join Lockheed Martin’s Missiles and Fire Control division in Grand Prairie, Texas, as an Embedded Software Engineer developing and maintaining real-time C++ software for Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) systems supporting advanced missile programs. This full-time, onsite role offers hands-on work with mission-critical technology supporting national defense. The position follows a 4/10A first-shift schedule, providing a three-day weekend each week.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance, with an investigation within the past five years.
- Accredited bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Proficiency in real-time embedded C++ programming.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with HWIL systems.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with the Ada programming language.
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and GitLab toolsets.
Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and architect and develop embedded real-time C++ software for HWIL applications.
- Implement, test, integrate, and maintain software components in a collaborative team environment.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from concept through deployment and sustainment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver robust and innovative solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware integration challenges to ensure system performance.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation supporting system validation and verification.
