About The Position

Ford’s Research and Advanced Engineering team develops advanced energy management and propulsion technologies, materials and manufacturing processes, and cabin experiences. The Embedded Software Engineer, Body Controls, leads software development within an agile team and designs and develops embedded software components for the Body Control System. The role includes translating feature requirements into software requirements in Polarion, implementing those requirements in compliant Simulink models or C functions, and maintaining requirements in functional specifications for implemented functions. The engineer works with supplier software teams to explain requirements and supports vehicle launches. The engineer contributes to reusable software components, device-driver code, integration documentation, and deployment processes. The position also involves collaboration with Ford architecture and validation teams, development and project managers, and partners to support product variants, cloud-scalable test infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines.
