About The Position

This position is for an Embedded Software Engineer on the Embedded Software team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining embedded C/C++ software for critical missile and fire-control systems. The role involves delivering high-quality embedded solutions that meet demanding mission requirements. The engineer will develop and integrate embedded software components and algorithms into C/C++ applications, plan and coordinate software development activities across the product lifecycle, and design, document, test, and debug software. This role requires applying deep knowledge of computer hardware and system architecture to create robust, performant code, and identifying and correcting program errors, producing operating instructions, and maintaining comprehensive development documentation. Requirements

  • Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Experience working with Embedded systems utilizing C and/or modern C++ 11 of higher.
  • Experience working with Embedded Operating Systems: Linux distributions (Yocto, Petalinux, Rocky 8 or higher, RHEL 8 or higher), VxWorks, or similar OS.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with various embedded software communication protocols (RTI DDS, gRPC, RS-232, I2C, Canbus, RS-485, CanOpen, or similar protocols).
  • Experience with software development through different phases of the software development life cycle.
  • Experience with Python programming and bash scripting.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies, JIRA, Git, and automated testing.
  • The candidate must have a growth mindset with a strong ability to learn quickly.
