We are seeking a highly engaged mid-level Embedded Software Engineer to join our team. This role offers a fast-paced environment where you will take ownership of feature development and work with minimal supervision on critical projects. We are looking for individuals with strong technical fundamentals in low-level systems programming who are eager to learn our product deeply and play a key role in system integration. This position requires working primarily onsite with some hybrid flexibility.

Requirements

3-5 years of professional experience in embedded systems development
Solid understanding of fundamental OS concepts (kernel vs. user space, task scheduling, memory management, and synchronization primitives).
Proficiency in Python, C and/or C++, including object-oriented principles.
Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, MAC addresses, packet inspection tools).
Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently.
Proven track record of learning from specification documents and adapting to new protocols or standards.

Nice To Haves

Experience with containerized Linux user space applications.
Exposure to Yocto or kernel driver development (not mandatory, but beneficial).
Experience with space networking technologies and standards.
DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Design and develop embedded software using C/C++ within constrained environments, defining technical approaches.
Implement state machines and handle asynchronous events (e.g., interrupts, signals).
Work with operating system concepts including process scheduling, resource sharing, and synchronization.
Integrate networking capabilities into embedded devices (basic IP/MAC layer knowledge required).
