Embedded Software Developer
About The Position
Genova Technologies has an immediate opening for an Embedded Software Developer for an exciting, long-term project in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The role works alongside an existing team to develop software that integrates with hardware embedded in large agricultural machinery. Work must be completed at Genova’s Cedar Rapids office. The developer will create, test, and debug embedded software using Embedded C and MATLAB/Simulink, and collaborate with an Agile team by providing feedback on feature sizing and participating in Agile/Scrum ceremonies. Requirements
- Four-year degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or a similar field.
- At least 4 years of experience developing using C/C++.
- At least 4 years of experience developing in an embedded environment.
- Some experience with Object Oriented Programming.
- Ability to take initiative and complete tasks as assigned.
Nice To Haves
- Experience mentoring junior developers.
- Experience debugging and testing, specifically on target hardware.
- Experience working within an Agile/Scrum team.
- Some Qt and/or MATLAB/Simulink experience.
- Some experience with Git.
- Experience with automated testing environments.
Responsibilities
