About The Position

This role is for an Embedded Software Co-Op. The co-op will engage with the firmware team to interpret upstream requirements, design, document, and implement supporting validations. The individual will also perform project and product documentation in accordance with departmental and company procedures and standards. Collaboration with other project team members is expected to deliver features that are implemented, tested, and documented. Additionally, the co-op will be responsible for designing, assembling, and maintaining test fixtures.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program
  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment
  • Ability to understand basic mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic systems
  • Strong analytical problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Programming experience in C# (Test), C++ (Firmware), or similar object-oriented programming languages
  • Commitment to full-time (40 hours/week) Co-op experience in Marshalltown, IA.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • Knowledge of common software test methods
  • Familiarity with continuous integration tools (TeamCity, Jenkins)
  • Experience with distributed version control
  • Experience with ARM embedded processor platforms
