About The Position

Client is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer with experience developing real-time C/C++ software for Linux and real-time operating systems running on multi-core processors. This role supports embedded software and firmware development and integration within a collaborative Agile environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with embedded software development, software/firmware integration, and modern source control and Agile development practices. An active Secret clearance is required prior to start.

Requirements

Active Secret clearance with the most recent investigation completed within the last 5 years.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
5+ years of C/C++ embedded real-time software development experience using Linux on multi-core processors.
5+ years of hands-on software/firmware integration experience.
3+ years of experience working in Agile development environments, including Scrum or Kanban.
Experience using GitLab and Bitbucket.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of the Yocto operating system.
Familiarity with Data Distribution System (DDS) middleware programming.

Responsibilities

Perform software and firmware integration activities to support embedded system functionality and performance.
