About The Position

The Embedded Risk Associate is part of DTCC’s Clearing & Security Services team and strengthens the first line of defense by challenging product and general management’s identification, assessment, response, reporting, and monitoring of risks. The role reviews management’s assessment of internal control effectiveness, including adherence to control testing and issue management frameworks, and partners with management on risk response strategies that appropriately address identified internal and external risks. The associate supports data-driven, forward-looking risk management and explores how data, automation, and AI can support business resilience. Responsibilities span incident and root-cause review, issue and action-plan lifecycle oversight, control testing and assessment, product and service enablement, governance-risk-control data quality, and promotion of a strong risk culture. The role also supports the design and prototyping of AI agents and helps ensure that AI-driven processes, models, data controls, and emerging technology risks are effectively governed. DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model with three days onsite and two days remote. Onsite days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and a third day determined by the team or employee.
