About The Position

The responsibilities of an embedded instructor are to provide training on the job, mentor workers on the skills and qualifications necessary to perform work, support employees in successfully transferring their formal training to the job, and perform training validations to ensure training effectiveness. The instructor will also be expected to develop an understanding of the production work underway and scheduled for the contract or area they are assigned. Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers. Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 0 years of exempt experience
  • One of the following may be used as equivalent to a bachelor's degree to meet minimum qualifications: NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • High school and 5 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
  • Graduation from Navy Nuclear Power School
