About The Position

The Embedded Product Analytics Senior Engineer transforms embedded system data into meaningful insights that support product performance, reliability, and continuous improvement. The role combines embedded software development, analytics, and controls expertise to support advanced monitoring, diagnostics, and data-driven decisions within complex products. Working with software, systems, and controls engineering teams, the engineer develops analytics-enabled embedded solutions using model-based design, simulation, and control methodologies. The role applies tools such as MATLAB and Simulink, along with controls and condition-monitoring knowledge, to improve understanding of system behavior and contribute to connected products. The position is onsite five days a week at either the Mossville, Illinois, or Houston, Texas, office, and may require up to 20% travel.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Strong software development skills for embedded products and analytics capabilities across the product lifecycle.
Experience developing and integrating embedded software using tools such as MATLAB and Simulink.
Ability to support control-related algorithms and software components aligned with system and product requirements.
Strong analytical thinking to interpret embedded system data and evaluate product behavior, performance, and trends.
Controls and condition-monitoring background to assess system health, identify performance deviations, and support predictive insights.
Ability to perform technical analysis of embedded systems and troubleshoot hardware, software, and control interactions.
Ability to interpret product, system, and analytics requirements and ensure solutions align with design intent.
Ability to work onsite five days a week at the Mossville, IL, or Houston, TX, office.
Ability to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and support embedded software solutions for product analytics, data collection, and performance monitoring.
Use model-based development techniques, including MATLAB and Simulink, for simulation, control design, and analytics functionality in embedded systems.
Analyze embedded system data to evaluate product behavior, performance trends, and system health and support continuous improvement.
Develop and apply condition-monitoring and advanced-controls concepts to enhance product insight, diagnostics, and reliability.
Analyze hardware, software, and control interfaces to identify issues, assess root causes, and support resolution.
Interpret and apply system, software, and analytics requirements to align solutions with product intent and business needs.
Collaborate with systems, controls, software, and product engineering teams to deliver embedded analytics solutions.
Document designs, analyses, and findings to support development, validation, and long-term product support.
Evaluate interactions among hardware, software, and control logic, using simulation and advanced-controls concepts to analyze system performance and dynamic behavior.
Troubleshoot and support root-cause analysis using telemetry, logs, and model-based outputs across embedded platforms.
Maintain traceability between requirements, simulation models, control designs, and implemented solutions.
Partner with engineering teams to clarify expectations, assess impacts, and support delivery of embedded analytics and control-enabled functionality.
