About The Position

Enflite, a Georgetown, Texas based aerospace company specializing in aircraft cabin mechanisms and galley appliances, is seeking a Firmware Engineer to support the design, development, and testing of embedded firmware integrated into VIP aircraft interiors. This role will work closely with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, manufacturing, certification, and quality) to ensure products meet industry safety and performance standards. This role offers hands-on involvement across the full product lifecycle from concept and design through certification, production, and in-service support.

• Must be proficient with MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Basic knowledge of: Embedded C/C++ programming
• Basic knowledge of: Microcontrollers and embedded systems
• Basic knowledge of: Digital communication interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN)
• Basic knowledge of: Electrical schematics and component datasheets
• Basic knowledge of: Electrical test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
• 0-2 years of experience
• Must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with embedded development tools and IDEs
• Experience with STMicroelectronics or Microchip microcontrollers
• Familiarity with RTOS concepts and state-machine design
• Experience with electromechanical systems (motors, actuators, sensors)
• Exposure to aerospace software development or certification requirements
• Experience using laboratory test and debug equipment

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of embedded firmware for aircraft interior products
• Develop and maintain C/C++ software for microcontroller-based systems
• Support integration of firmware with electrical and mechanical assemblies
• Implement communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, RS485, and CAN
• Assist in verification, environmental, lifecycle, and compliance testing
• Create and maintain software documentation, test procedures, and test reports
• Troubleshoot firmware and hardware issues during development and production
• Support manufacturing teams with programming, testing, and production issues
• Participate in code reviews and follow established development processes
• Support customer/vendor interactions through phone calls or face-to-face meetings
