Embedded DSP Software Engineer
About The Position
Qualcomm Cellular Technologies AI Proc Solutions group is looking for a full-time embedded software engineer to work on the latest Snapdragon chipsets enabling Smart TV, Tablet, and Digital Media Adaptor products. The candidate will work as an embedded software engineer and will develop and test various real-time video applications on the Qualcomm MPQ Snapdragon platform. The candidate should be motivated and self-driven, and be able to work with multiple teams to determine and understand requirements and resolve technical issues. As the developer of the application, the candidate will also be responsible for supporting customers (internal as well as external).
Requirements
- Up to 2 years experience
- Strong knowledge of C/C++
- Strong knowledge of embedded development
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of the ARM development environment
- Knowledge of Embedded Linux and/or Win Mobile
- Knowledge of Java/Android
- Knowledge of Video functions like De-interlacing, Motion Compensation, Noise reduction, Color processing etc.

- Read abstract problem definitions, define problem statements, design and ensure that goals of our end users and technology are met.
- Follow strong SW development practices and processes
- Design, implement and validate various embedded Video functions/applications
- Actively work with internal customers to support our tools
