About The Position

This full-time role supports the Digital Marketing Operations department at Grand Circle Corporation . The Email Production Lead is responsible for overseeing day-to-day email production operations, ensuring on-time, accurate, and high-quality delivery of email marketing campaigns across GCC brands. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with people leadership, process ownership, and delivery governance. The Email Production Lead serves as the primary point of accountability for email production execution, quality standards, and workload management. This role reports to the Director of Email Operations and works closely with Campaign Development, Creative, Brand, Product Marketing, QA, and Web teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7+ years of experience in email or digital marketing production, preferably in a high-volume, multi-brand environment
  • 3+ years of experience leading high performing teams, mentoring producers, and enforcing quality standards
  • Advanced expertise in HTML and inline CSS for email development
  • Strong working knowledge of JavaScript and dynamic content for email
  • Deep experience with Adobe Campaign or another enterprise-level Email Service Platform
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop required; Dreamweaver preferred)
  • Proven experience building and governing scalable email templates and component libraries
  • Strong understanding of email deliverability, permission-based marketing, privacy, and spam regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR concepts)
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and comfort working with data-driven personalization
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a proven track record of high accuracy and reliability
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Clear, confident communicator with the ability to influence cross-functional partners

Responsibilities

  • Own production delivery across all email campaigns, ensuring on-time execution, accuracy, and adherence to brand and technical standards
  • Act as the escalation point for production risks, timeline issues, and quality concerns.
  • Provide production leadership for high-visibility, high-complexity, or time-sensitive campaigns.
  • Balance hands-on production work with oversight, prioritization, and issue resolution.
  • Provide production oversight for the Adobe Campaign V8 migration by supporting email content migration and setup within the V8 Email Builder authoring tool.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor Email Producers and Senior Email Producers, fostering skill development, accountability, and consistency.
  • Set clear expectations for quality, turnaround time, and best practices.
  • Conduct peer review oversight and final approvals for complex or high-risk email campaigns.
  • Support onboarding and ramp-up of new team members.
  • Partner with Traffic and Project Management to manage intake, prioritization, and capacity planning for email production.
  • Own and continuously improve email production workflows, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
  • Identify inefficiencies and drive improvements to reduce rework, cycle time, and delivery risk.
  • Provide accurate production estimates and input into campaign planning and resourcing decisions.
  • Ensure consistent application of HTML/CSS coding standards, template usage, and modular build approaches.
  • Oversee development and maintenance of reusable templates, components, and dynamic content frameworks.
  • Partner with Campaign Development to ensure proper integration of personalization logic, data fields, and versioning.
  • Ensure compliance with deliverability, accessibility, privacy, and spam regulations (CAN-SPAM and related standards).
  • Own production QA standards, including peer review processes, testing workflows, and final validation.
  • Monitor production accuracy, rework trends, and recurring issues; proactively implement corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement of deliverability, inbox rendering, and performance best practices.
  • Contribute to reporting on production KPIs such as on-time delivery, accuracy, and capacity utilization.
