About The Position

See’s Candies is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Email Designer to concept and execute visually compelling, performance-driven email campaigns. This role supports marketing strategy and brand vision across channels, focusing on delivering high-quality email creative from concept through production. The designer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and optimal performance, while upholding the company's commitment to quality and its core principles of diversity and inclusion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Art, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of design experience in an in-house retail, brand, or agency environment, with a strong focus on email design.
  • A portfolio showcasing strong digital design skills, particularly in email, including typography, layout, and responsive design.
  • Solid understanding of email marketing best practices, including responsive design, accessibility, and deliverability considerations.
  • Proficiency in UX/UI principles and designing for both desktop and mobile experiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat).
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS as it relates to email design.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and the ability to take direction and incorporate feedback effectively.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and solutions-oriented with a positive approach to working in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Mac OS and common business tools (Excel, Google Workspace, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

  • Basic animation/GIF creation skills.
  • Familiarity with Email Service Providers (ESPs) and CRM platforms.
  • Experience with project management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop on-brand creative for a variety of marketing and transactional email communications, ensuring consistency with brand standards and adherence to email design best practices.
  • Translate creative briefs into effective email designs that balance visual storytelling, UX principles, and business objectives.
  • Apply established templates, design systems, and workflows to maintain efficiency and scalability across campaigns.
  • Collaborate with marketing, e-commerce, and development teams to ensure emails are responsive, accessible, and optimized across devices and platforms.
  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and iterate on designs to meet business and creative goals.
  • Support A/B testing initiatives by developing variations of layouts, messaging, and visuals to optimize performance metrics such as click-through and conversion rates.
  • Contribute to broader 360° marketing initiatives, including ecommerce assets, paid and organic social, and other digital touchpoints as needed.
