Requirements

• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Level III Armed Guard Card is required in Texas only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, exterior perimeter, parking areas, loading zones, and other assigned locations to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and other security-related concerns, while maintaining a professional presence.
• Support asset protection and loss prevention efforts by observing customer and employee activity, reporting unusual situations, and assisting with access control and/or crowd management as needed.
