Join Allied Universal as an armed, driving patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers and staff. This role combines customer service, communication, and rapid response while reflecting our values of teamwork, integrity, reliability, and care for people first.

Requirements

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Level III Armed Guard Card is required in Texas only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related screening, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and following armed post protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support loss prevention efforts, observe suspicious behavior, and report findings to site leadership and/or law enforcement when needed.
• Complete required reports and documentation related to incidents, patrol activity, and security-related observations, while maintaining professionalism and strong communication with customers and store personnel.
