As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and/or foot patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving post where professionalism, reliability, and integrity support a caring, team-oriented environment focused on people first and innovative service.

Requirements

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and communicating with site contacts and local authorities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for policy compliance, unusual activity, and/or potential loss prevention concerns, while maintaining a professional presence.
• Assist with security-related checks of doors, gates, alarms, and/or other access points, and report maintenance issues, hazards, or policy violations according to site procedures.
