About The Position

Social Services is now accepting applications to be considered for an open position as a Full-Time Eligibility Worker. This position will be eligible for Clay County’s benefit package. Information on Clay County’s insurance benefits can be here: Fringe-Benefit-Summary_2026. Status: Non-Exempt.

Requirements

Associate degree and 3-5 years of related work experience OR 5-8 years of related work experience in lieu of degree
Successfully complete a background investigation
Clay County Application must be submitted for all County positions.
All these materials need to be returned by the application deadline.

Responsibilities

To determine initial eligibility for financial assistance programs and perform a variety of tasks related to eligibility and grant determination.
To service ongoing public assistance caseload, in order that appropriate services be given to clients.
To perform required administrative tasks with agency standards and expectations.
To include case file documentation on State Computer System, correspondence between clients, agencies, DHS and the community and prepare client request for and be involved with agency appeals.
