About The Position

To provide services in the areas of Medicaid application, eligibility determination, data input, and payment vouchering.

  • Possess a current Background Clearance Screening Letter as required by DCF; and successfully complete the background screening requirements for Community Partnership for Children.
  • If local travel is required, a Valid Florida driver’s license and documentation of current automobile insurance, is required.

Responsibilities

  • Obtains and maintains appropriate case documentation for determining eligibility of children and for maintaining compliance.
  • Maintains open communication with Protective Investigators and Case Managers responsible for supervising cases of children in care, obtaining information in order to determine eligibility.
  • Completes Medicaid applications for children in out-of-home paid placements and works with Economic Self Sufficiency (ESS) Child in Care (CIC) Specialists to obtain Medicaid eligibility.
  • Completes Medicaid applications for relative and non-relative placements.
  • Enters demographic, placement and payment data into the Integrated Child Welfare Services Information Systems (ICWSIS) for foster care, group care, and adoptions.
  • Enters placement and demographic data into Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN) for all children.
  • Enters eligibility data into ICWSIS and FSFN.
  • Communicates to ESS/CIC all placement change information.
  • Works with the Finance Department to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Provides necessary documents to ESS for required annual Medicaid reviews for all children in out-of-home paid placements, relative and non-relative placements, and adoptive children.
  • Completes required annual TANF redeterminations for children in out of home paid placements and adoptive children.
  • Attends staff meetings, in-service training and other meetings, staffings, or conferences as necessary.
  • Provides technical assistance on the completion of all eligibility forms.
  • Participates in the quality improvement process.
