Requirements

Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work experience.
Minimum of 3 years working experience in insurance verification and obtaining authorization in a medical practice.
Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial payers, Workers’ Compensation and Medicare Replacement plans.

Nice To Haves

Experience with NCTracks preferred, not required.
Experience with eCW software preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

Obtaining hospice and specialist insurance verifications through a clearinghouse, insurance portal, and/or phone call
Completing hospice benefit verification form for commercial payors
Set-up of Reimbursors on patients’ account
Process subsidy assistance applications
Assist with obtaining authorizations, as needed
Verification of Medicare, Medicaid, & Commercial Payors eligibility and/or benefits through a clearinghouse, insurance portal, and/or phone call
Complete Hospice Benefit Verification Form for commercial payors
Reimbursor set-up on patients’ account
Process Subsidy Assistance Applications
Assist with obtaining hospice and palliative authorizations as needed
