Elevator Technician Supervisor
About The Position
Fortis Native Group is looking for a Full-Time Elevator Mechanic Supervisor for our Miami 7 contract. The candidate must be willing to travel between assigned sites and may be asked to assist at non-assigned sites. The Elevator Mechanic Supervisor assists in repairs and maintains "Automated People Movers" and like named devices used in the transportation of people and materials including, but not limited to elevators, escalators, dumbwaiters, and moving walkways to meet safety regulations and building codes as associated with the Miami 7 facilities. This individual must foster teamwork, cooperation, and results while monitoring efficiency, productivity and be fiscally responsible.
Requirements
- Florida Certified Elevator Technician (CET)
- Florida Certificate of Competency
- Experience with ASME A17.1 code compliance
- 5+ years elevator maintenance and repair experience
- 3+ years supervisory experience
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and emergency response
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass federal background screening and site access requirements
- Proficiency with MS Office computer programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- High school or equivalent education

Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots and determines causes of trouble in brakes, electrical motors, switches, signal, and control systems.
- Troubleshoots using computers, test lamps, voltmeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Disassembles defective units.
- Repairs or replaces parts such as electrical door locks, cables, electrical wiring, and faulty safety devices.
- Installs push button control systems, complete control systems, and other devices to modernize automated people mover systems.
- Cleans and lubricates bearing and other parts to minimize friction.
- Maintains Elevator Cab in accordance with code.
