About The Position

As an Elevator Superintendent at Central Valley Ag, you will be responsible for proper grain storage, conditioning, blending, loading, unloading and practicing good housekeeping practices. This role ensures that all location facilities and equipment meet Federal, State, and OSHA regulations. You will perform grain receiving, sampling, and grading, assure proper grain storage and condition, and efficiently operate the grain dryer. The position involves completing bi-monthly grain inventories, reconciling variances, and blending grain for proper loading. Maintaining good housekeeping is crucial to reduce the chance of fire or dust collection. Additionally, you will greet and assist customers professionally and courteously, perform general maintenance on property, facilities, and equipment, and plan, assign, and direct the work of subordinates. This includes completing performance appraisals, rewarding employees, disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving employee problems in conjunction with division heads.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • One to two years’ experience in a related field required.
  • Proven history of delivery of results required.
  • Takes responsibility for the way money and resources are used and managed.
  • Makes good, sound decisions based on reason, facts, analytics and observations.
  • General mechanical ability required.
  • Develops contacts and relationships which are internal and external to the organization and facilitates work efforts to gain support and cooperation from others.

Responsibilities
