About The Position
Join our team for the summer harvest! We are seeking a Seasonal Elevator Operator. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service while assisting with the receiving, storing, and shipping of grain, as well as performing basic maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Ability to operate grain handling equipment (conveyors, trippers, flow pipes, etc.)
- Ability to inspect grain for moisture, insects, and foreign material
- Ability to monitor and record grain temperatures
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and minor equipment repairs
- Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Ability to complete required paperwork accurately and communicate effectively with team members
- Knowledge of company safety policies and procedures
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, professional customer service and assist with inquiries or concerns
- Load and unload grain trucks; inspect grain for moisture, insects, and foreign material
- Operate grain handling equipment (conveyors, trippers, flow pipes, etc.)
- Monitor and record grain temperatures
- Perform routine maintenance and minor equipment repairs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Complete required paperwork accurately and communicate effectively with team members
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Work flexible hours during harvest, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
