About The Position

GEODIS is seeking an Elevator Operator to join their team. This role involves operating passenger and freight elevators safely and efficiently, transporting staff, delegates, and visitors, and assisting passengers. The Elevator Operator will also be responsible for ensuring accurate stops, assisting with loading/unloading materials, reporting mechanical issues, verifying access credentials for building security, and preventing unauthorized access to restricted floors. A key responsibility is ensuring the elevator does not exceed its capacity of 10 individuals at any given time to comply with safety regulations. The role also includes performing other duties as required and assigned, and supporting GEODIS’ programs for Safety, Health, Environment, Quality, Ethics, Compliance, CSR, and Sustainability.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
• Must be dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and demeanor

Responsibilities

• Operate passenger and freight elevators safely and efficiently
• Transport staff, delegates, and visitors between floors with courtesy and professionalism
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the elevators
• Ensure elevators stop accurately at designated floors
• Help with the loading and unloading of materials as needed
• Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions promptly to the maintenance team
• Verify access credentials and grounds passes to support building security
• Prevent unauthorized access to restricted floors through vigilant monitoring
• Ensure that no more than 10 individuals are present in the elevator at any given time to comply with safety regulations and operational standards
• Other duties as required and assigned
