About The Position
We are looking for an Elevator Mechanic who has commercial repair and service experience to run a service route in the Charleston/Columbia, SC area. Relocation is offered with this job.
Requirements
- Relevant mechanical certification - Elevator Mechanic License preferred
- Previous work experience as an elevator mechanic running a service route
- Advanced knowledge of elevator systems, mechanical walkways, and escalators
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
- Ability to travel and work after hours when required
- Must have a clean driving record with no recent tickets or accidents in the past three years
- Must pass a drug and background screen
Responsibilities
- Servicing and repairing commercial elevators
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical parts
- Timely completion of assigned preventative maintenance
- Daily closing of assigned tickets with accurate information
- Communication on elevator status with on-site personnel
- Understanding the use of PPE and all safety rules
- Understanding of wiring diagrams
