Apprentice
About The Position
The Apprentice position provides valuable mentoring, training, and hands-on experience to install high-quality home elevators. Residential Elevators is looking for an entry-level craft worker with experience or a passion for construction, manufacturing, electrical, or mechanics to work full-time at least 40 hours a week. Residential Elevators will provide hands-on experience and mentoring needed to advance to an Installation Mechanic position. Successful Apprentices have the ability to be promoted within 3-12 months to a team lead with increases in responsibility and compensation during the program. Newly promoted mechanics are issued a company truck, cell phone, and equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Willing to travel up to 50% of the time
- Willing to work long hours if needed
- Not afraid of heights and comfortable working on ladders
- Capable of lifting 50lbs or more
- Capable of hard physical work
- Able to work in confined spaces
- Knowledgeable and experienced in the proper use of hand tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Pass a pre-employment criminal background check
- Pass a drug screen
