About The Position

The Mount Greylock Regional School District is seeking an Elementary Tutor to provide targeted academic instruction. This position will focus on supporting a 4th-grade student at Williamstown Elementary School. The schedule will be as outlined in the child's IEP, currently 2 hours per day/10 hours per week. The location can be remote or in-person, to be determined. Compensation will be commensurate with the successful applicant's education, experience, and licensure status. The tutor will report to the Principal.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Massachusetts DESE License required.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to current content knowledge and instructional strategies.
• Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of SAFIS CHRI (fingerprint-based) and CORI background checks per MGL Chapter 459 of the Acts of 2012.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop tailored learning materials suited to the student’s maturity and skill level.
• Maintain regular communication regarding student progress with teachers, administration, and parents/guardians.
• Keep accurate records of activities for district and state audit compliance.
