The Elementary Teacher is responsible for the instruction of designated content area(s)/course(s) in a classroom setting within an elementary school. All district employees must demonstrate regular and predictable attendance, support the district’s vision, mission, goals, and Strategic Plan, engage in civility, respect, and professionalism, and maintain the professional knowledge and skills necessary to perform their duties. This role involves designing and implementing instruction aligned with state standards and district curriculum, creating a positive and respectful learning environment, and utilizing diverse teaching methodologies to meet individual student needs. The teacher will observe and evaluate student performance, manage classroom behavior, communicate with parents and staff, and ensure the health and safety of students. Maintaining appropriate certifications and professional development hours is also required. Responsibilities may change as determined by district needs.
