About The Position

The mission of The Vanguard School is to help guide students in development of their character and academic potential through academically rigorous, content-rich educational programs. The Elementary Teacher (Grade K-6) is responsible for providing students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to develop academic excellence, virtue, and leadership.

Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree.
• Pass Praxis 5901 series AND a READ Act Endorsement by the time of hire date.
• Degree transcripts/ diploma must be included in your application for consideration.
• Disclosure of relevant issues related to criminal history, employment history, and licensure history.
• Pass a CBI / FBI fingerprint background check.

Nice To Haves

• Prior teaching experience preferred but not required.
• A teaching certificate/license is not required to teach at The Vanguard School.
