Catholic Elementary Teacher
About The Position
Regina Caeli Academy (RCA) is seeking a Catholic part-time Elementary Teacher to teach in a classical and Catholic 1st-3rd Grade classroom for 13 hours per week in their Austin, TX Center. RCA is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition, offering tutoring in a Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. This is an hourly position with provided childcare/nursery. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and have a deep love for the Catholic faith. Curriculum and grading guidelines are provided, and tutors are trained to provide instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. The ideal applicant will have strong communication skills, good organization, timeliness, a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship, and must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to their state in life. All staff complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching at Regina Caeli Academy. Hours are Mondays and Thursdays 9:00 am - 3:30 pm. Tutors must be willing to prepare for classes at home and come to class prepared to teach in a highly structured environment. Applicants must be available to attend mandatory training on August 4, 5, and 6, 2026, prior to working in the classroom (8 am-5 pm; no childcare provided, nursing babies always welcome).
Requirements
- Catholic part-time Elementary Teacher.
- Teach 13 hours per week.
- Standard computer skills - ideally with Google Suite or equivalent.
- Must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
- Must have a deep love for the Catholic faith.
- Strong communication skills.
